Does Drove require internet?+
Web Hosted requires reliable internet for normal use. On-site Mirrored runs from a server at the site, so local work continues during an outage and synchronises when the connection returns.
What works offline on Android?+
Configured Android workflows can capture weighing, treatments, births and deaths, stock counts, goods-in, grading, fuel and maintenance logs, and clock-in while offline. The device needs an online sign-in and site-data download before first offline use.
Can we use our existing hardware?+
Yes. Drove can use compatible existing computers, Android devices, Zebra or Datamax Mark II barcode printers, scanners and scales. We confirm exact models before installation.
What Android permissions does Drove request?+
Camera is used for barcode scanning, Bluetooth for compatible scales, and location only in workflows configured to capture advisory location evidence. Manual entry remains available when optional hardware is absent.
How is Drove priced?+
Pricing is per operating site. Two licensed modules are included in the base plan, with additional modules added only where needed. Hardware and one-off setup are shown separately.
Which deployment should we choose?+
Web Hosted suits sites with dependable internet and no need for a local server. On-site Mirrored suits production environments that must keep working when the internet is unreliable.
Do we have to use Drove’s FDMS service?+
No. If you use another FDMS provider, Drove’s monthly FDMS charge does not apply. Any new integration work and the provider’s own costs are quoted separately.
Does Drove integrate with our accounts or payroll system?+
Drove supports Sage Pastel journal export and configured ODBC exchange, a draft Belina payroll export confirmed during onboarding, and a read-only Meat Matrix reconciliation report.
Can Drove import our existing data?+
Usually. We assess items, parties, livestock, stock and other records during onboarding, provide import templates and quote unusual cleansing or data-transfer work before starting.
Can you add a feature for our operation?+
Yes. Small additions are offered at a low hourly rate or fixed quote. Larger workflows are scoped with acceptance criteria, delivery timing and ownership agreed before development.
Who owns our data?+
The customer retains control of its operational data. Drove processes it to provide the service and supports export and return arrangements when the contract ends.
How long does implementation take?+
Timing depends on sites, modules, hardware, bringing existing data across and integrations. After the discovery walkthrough, we provide a written implementation plan rather than a generic promise.
